A private burial is to take place at Prairie Street Cemetery at a later time. All memorial donations may be given to the Sawyer Family in care of Heather (Potter) Sawyer.

Lester was known by many as a talented and creative man who was truly "one of a kind." He worked as a welder by trade for many years at DANA in Syracuse, IN and at Safe Fleet in Elkhart, where he later retired. He was a skilled welder and fabricator who loved to build cars and often helped others build their own cars. When he was young, he loved to race on the local race tracks, but later retired to watching the cars race on the side lines. His family will miss him greatly, but they will never forget how much of an impact he made on their lives as a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
