Lela Mae (Manning) Washington, age 73, resided in Elkhart, IN. Lela departed this life November 3, 2022, in her residence peacefully.

Lela leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Marvin Manning, Calvin Manning, Jacob Washington, Lena (Tommy) Perry, Sharrin (Calvin) Turpin, Jacqueline (Leroy) Williams, Bobby JR Washington, Barbara Washington; a host of many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends; and a dedicated church, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist.

The Funeral will be held at Canaan Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse Ave. Elkhart, IN with Pastor Danny Brown officiating and making final remarks. Minister Calvin Manning will be presenting the eulogy. Viewing will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN was entrusted to care for Lela's services.
