Larry was a hardworking man who worked as a sales representative for Car Parts Inc., Midwest Distributing, and Yoder Oil Co. for roughly 19 years. He later worked for Conrail and Norfolk Southern railroads for 15 years and retired from KIK Custom Products in 2020.
Larry had never met a stranger which led him to make many friends throughout his life. He always shared his sharp sense of humor with anyone nearby. He enjoyed meals with friends and family, listening to live music, and traveling. Larry was passionate about dogs and a volunteer with Greyhound Companions for many years where he rescued and fostered greyhounds with his family. In his earlier years, he attended St. Thomas Apostolic Catholic Church where he was member of the Knights of Columbus in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Larry recently attended Crossroads Community Church in Goshen.
Family meant the world to Larry, and he enjoyed being with them, along with his grandchildren, any chance he could. Always willing to help with any home project, he was generous with his time. He loved being outdoors and had many wonderful memories of going to the beach, playing rounds of golf, bowling with his family, and watching baseball games. Larry enjoyed the Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart with Cindi by his side, listening to live music, walking through the beautiful Christmas light displays each year, and visiting the commemorative paver dedicated to his parents. Larry will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
