ELKHART -- Lawrence H. "Larry" Combs Sr., 68, of Elkhart, passed away Dec. 20, 2010.
He was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Roy M. and Macy (Howard) Combs.
Survivors include sons Lawrence H. Combs Jr. and Tharon "Shane" Combs, both of Niles, Mich.; daughters Lavonda (Larry) Ryan of West Palm Beach, Fla., Valerie Dahl of Lawrence and Teri Lynn (Robert) Kelley of Indianapolis; sister Katherine Lundenburg of Muskegon, Mich.; mother Macy Combs of Muskegon; special companion Eileen McCrory of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy M. Combs, and a brother, Ronald M. Combs.
Larry was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and was employed as a welder.
Memorial services will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Niles Moose Lodge 978, 2277 N. Fifth St., Niles.
Memorial contributions may be given to Berrien Regional Education Service Agency, 711 St. Joseph Ave., Berrien Springs, MI 49103.
Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, is assisting the family with arrangements.
