Obituary
MISHAWAKA — Laurie Ann Tackman, 53, of Mishawaka, passed away Aug. 21 at Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born Oct. 15, 1960, in Norfolk, Va., to Kenneth R. Carter and Maxine M. Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Tracy Rayburn of Mishawaka; one daughter, Jennifer Perkins of Mishawaka; one son, William Bray of Auburn; two sisters, Marlene Carter-Ordaz of South Bend and Sandra L. Carter of Mishawaka; four brothers, William Carter and Charles Carter, both of South Bend, Kenneth R. Carter Jr. of San Diego and Jerry Hilts of Niles, Mich.; two grandsons, Jonathan and Jordan; aunt and uncle Mary C. and Robert E. Clark of Niles; numerous cousins; and her best friend, Angel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Kevin S. Tackman.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, in Sugar Grove Cemetery, 58512 Old C.R. 17, Goshen. Pastor Rick Gering will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
