Laura K. Holliday, 71, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her home.

Laura was born in Elkhart, IN on September 24, 1951 to Kenneth and Alice "Irene" (Engelhart) Vescelus.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth.

Laura is survived by her children, Clint (Courtney), Jamin and Nicole (Brian); mother, Irene; brothers, Mike (Karen) and Chris (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kahlene, Kadence, Calyb, Gaige and Phoenix; and her fur baby, Kobe.

Laura graduated from Elkhart High School and sang in her high school choir. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and later Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart.

Laura worked in retail including at GL Perry Warehouse and store and Target Department Store. Laura enjoyed shopping, skating, cookouts, picnics in the park and swimming and tanning by the pool. She was also an excellent cook.

In her spare time, Laura was an avid reader and watched movies, wrestling, baseball and basketball on tv.

Laura was caring and had a great sense of humor.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her mother, children and grandchildren.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church. Cremation was chosen. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
