SOUTH BEND — Laura A. McCreary, 51, of South Bend, passed away at Elkhart Center for Hospice Care on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Laura was born Dec. 19, 1965, in Syracuse, New York, to David and Rosemary Kendzior-Grow.

She is survived by her father, David (Sharon); son, Mikel; two daughters, Kathryn and Brittany; brother Brian (Susan) Grow; and sister Daveda (Scotty) Van De Putte, all of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary.

Laura was a caretaker of her family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be at noon Friday, April 28, with visitation from 11 a.m. to noon at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.

In keeping with Laura's wishes, cremation was chosen.
