Obituary
ELKHART — Larry L. Podawiltz, 73, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, in his residence.
He was born Feb. 23, 1941, in Elkhart to Marvin and N. Joy (Hoover) Podawiltz.
Survivors include one brother, Robin Podawiltz of Duncanville, Texas; two sisters, MarJo (Warren) Robbins of Elkhart and Penny Junco of Duncanville; four nephews; and two nieces.
Larry was a 1959 graduate of Elkhart High School. He was employed with the Geocel Corp. prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Elkhart Community Family Center and the Elkhart Moose Lodge.
Larry was a marathon runner and competed in many of the area runs as well as throughout the U.S. He also participated in the yearly walk across Mackinaw Bridge.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services. A private family service will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart Community Family Center or the Mooseheart (Ill.) Child City and School in Mooseheart.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
