ELKHART — Larry L. Miller, 63, of Elkhart passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Denver, Colo. to Lawrence E. Miller and Adeline R. (Weatherton) Rose.
On Oct. 27, 1979, he married Sharon S. (Hughes-Alabaugh) Miller in Elkhart. She survives.
Other survivors include a sister, Patti Miller of Elkhart; two daughters; one stepson; one stepdaughter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepparents Jean Miller and Johnnie Rose and one great-grandson, Adam.
A graduate of Jimtown High School class of 1967, Larry served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Jessen Manufacturing for more than 38 years. Larry enjoyed working with computers, collecting elephants and eagles and was known by all at the IHOP in Goshen. He truly loved his family and many friends. He was a lifetime member of DAV Chapter 19.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo. Military graveside honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force.
