ELKHART — Larry Lee Kilgore, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at his home.
He was born Feb. 24, 1939, to the late Rex and Lois (Miller) Kilgore. He married Connie J. Quimby on July 24, 1982, in Granger.
She survives, as well as sons Steven (Carol) Kilgore and Scott Kilgore; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; as well as brothers Harvey, Alan and Eddie Kilgore; and sisters Linda Kilgore, Joanne (Willard) Phillips, Rosie (Duane) Elliot and Dorothy Fisher.
His sisters, Janice Chaplan and Janet Kilgore, preceded him in death.
Larry worked for 25 years at Wheelabrator-Frye and 17 years at Creation Windows. He was a member of Apostolic Temple Church in South Bend. He loved the Smoky Mountains, being outdoors and enjoyed collecting lighthouses and eagles.
Graveside services will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at Little Pine Cemetery, 57061 C.R. 19, Goshen, IN 46528. Elder Norman Andrews will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Memorials may be given to Grace Point Apostolic Church.
