Larry D. Jeffries, age 72, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital, after a sudden illness. He went to reside with our Savior Jesus in Heaven.  Larry was born in Cairo, Illinois on September 21, 1949 to the late Jim Jeffries and Frances Wilma (Zook) Jeffries.

He married his best friend and true love Linda K. Davis on August 16, 1986 in Phoenix, Ariz. Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Linda K. Jeffries; two sons, Brian Rushing (Ronetta), Aaron Rushing (April); two daughters Kristin Jeffries, Tina Norby (Mike); 12 loving grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and a sister Patricia Vaznonis (Kenneth); as well a nephew Albert Kobera and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Larry honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a "Rooster" during the Vietnam War from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1972.

Larry worked in customer service at Lochmandy Motors for many years. Larry enjoyed working in his yard and taking care of his plants. He loved classic rock music and Michael Jackson. He was a college football fan, with Notre Dame and the Denver Broncos his favorite teams. He was known as a jokester and likes pulling pranks. He was also a "Consumer Digest Aficionado," Larry did not buy or purchase anything until he researched an item with them.
