Obituary
ELKHART — Larry Charles Fordyce, 56, of Elkhart, beloved son, brother and friend, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, after a long battle with colon cancer.
He fought to survive with courage and dignity.
Larry is survived by his mother, Susan Fordyce, of Elkhart; twin brother, Gary Fordyce of Elkhart; two younger sisters, Patricia (Paul) Fordyce-Montanari, of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Suzette (Morris) Eastham of Elkhart. Larry also leaves behind three nieces and two nephews, as well as five great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Those who knew Larry recognized he was genuinely caring and his heart was open to any in need. He always seemed to have a way to brighten a day, whether with a story or just a smile telling everyone how great it was to be alive. He will truly be missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Larry's life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart.
