GOSHEN: Larry W. Auld, 84, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, after a sudden illness.  Larry was born on June 10, 1937 in Elkhart, a son of the late Harold G. and Dorothy (Wilcox) Auld. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wives and a son Christopher "Scot" Auld.

Larry served the City of Elkhart as a firefighter for twenty-one and half years. He also did construction and maintenance work for Al Ludwig for 42 years. Larry honorably served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 10 years.

He was a faithful member of Northside Church of the Nazarene and was an avid model train enthusiast and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Survivors include his daughter Kathleen (James) Shetterly, two sons, Raymond (Hope) Collins, Glenn (Andrea) Collins, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and his sister Patricia Hinshaw.

Visitation for Larry will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 and again on Monday, Dec. 6, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Pastor Tim Sheets of Northside Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Honors will be rendered by the Elkhart Fire Department Funeral Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.
