Lance Michael Thibodeau, 62, of Elkhart, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Thursday morning, March 2, 2023 in the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his side.

Lance was born on November 17, 1960 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to John Thibodeau and Marjorie (Fox) Green.

Lance was able to marry his true love and best friend Janet S. Stamper in a ceremony on November 26, 1986 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Surviving is his wife Janet "Jan" Thibodeau, three children, Nathan (Joy) Proulx, William (Danielle) Blakely and daughter, Yohanna Blakely; also six grandsons, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, one great grandson, as well as two brothers, Steve (Lori) Thibodeau, Gary (Mary) Thibodeau; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, John and Marjorie, a sister Debra Proulx preceded him in death.

Lance was a professional truck driver, logging many safe miles and years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1982.  Lance loved to ride motorcycles and feel the rumble of a motor and the wind in his face, he also enjoyed fishing and camping, but most important to Lance was love for his wife Janet and his family.

Services celebrating the life of Lance M. Thibodeau will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. The service will begin with military honors by the United States Army Funeral Honor Guard, Elkhart Veterans Honor Guard and Indiana Patriot Guard. Following the honors, Pastor Jeremy Sarber will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Peace Mausoleum in Rice Cemetery. Condolences may be made on-line at www.billingsfuneralhome.com
