ELKHART — Kristine A. Gove, 57, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, while at her residence.
She was born Feb. 26, 1958, in Elkhart, to Tom Ball and Janice L. (Eberhart) Spirito.
In addition to her father, other survivors include her husband, Scott Clevenger of Elkhart; two daughters, Kristy (Laramy) Jacobs and Kary (Austin) Howell, both of Elkhart; one son, Vernon Gove of Williston, N.D.; one brother, Dan (Heidi) Ball of Elkhart; stepfather Bobby Spirito of New Buffalo, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Chaicee Jacobs, Zackri Jacobs and Natayla Jacobs, all of Utica, Mich., Keaton Shepard of Elkhart and Eli Ruemler-Gove of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Kristine was a lifelong resident of Elkhart and a graduate of Elkhart Central High School. She was employed at City News Book Store and then Monaco Coach Corp. for several years.
She never met a stranger and had a heart filled with love that she was never afraid to share. Her grandchildren were her everything. Gardening, sewing, cookouts with family, Notre Dame football and NASCAR also brought joy to her life. She was a wife, "Mamaw," mother, friend — such a peaceful, loving soul that will be missed by many. We love you Joann!!
