ELKHART — Kirk A. Johnson, 58, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, June 25, at Elkhart General Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born in Elkhart on Sept. 3, 1955, to Robert "Bowly" and JoAnne (Lantz) Johnson.
Surviving are his mother, JoAnne (Karl) Holmes of Elkhart; sister Christy Hall of Elkhart; nieces April (Karl) Miller and Mandy Hall; and nephew Colton Hall.
Preceding him in death was his father, "Bowly," and a brother, Mark Johnson.
In accordance with the family's wishes, Kirk's body is to be cremated and buried in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. However, a celebration of his life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Bowly's Crystal Bar, 109 Freight St., Elkhart.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Kirk worked in the local RV industry for more than 30 years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Memorial donations may be given in Kirk's memory to the charity of one's choice.
