NEW PARIS — One of God's special angels on earth has gone home to be with his Heavenly Father.
Kirk Antonio Coleman, 19 months, passed away at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at IU Health Goshen Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born in Elkhart on March 17, 2013, to Anissa Garza of New Paris and Cody Coleman of Goshen.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents Antonio and Angela Garza of New Paris and Teresa Coleman and David (Karrie) Coleman of Goshen; great-grandparents Dwight and Regina Gunter of Elkhart, Armando and Melba Garza of New Paris, and Jonna Stahl of Warsaw; and several aunts and uncles, including Anndrea Garza of New Paris.
A celebration of Kirk's life will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Baintertown cemetery in New Paris. Bishop S. Deed Pendell of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints will be among the officiants.
Kirk loved his family as well as trains, trucks and tractors, but cherished his beloved "cuddle monkey" most of all. He also enjoyed camping with his family and munching on cheese ball snacks.
He was loved by his entire family and will remain in their hearts forever.
