Kimberly "Kim" Gail (Good) Vessels, 65, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Woodland Manor. She was born on September 18, 1958, in Rensselaer, IN, to the late Ralph and Beverly (Ropp) Good.

Kim is survived by her siblings, Pamela "Pam" Huff of Weston, FL, Jackie Smith of Michigan City, IN, Doren Good of Knox, IN, and Tony Good of Quincy, IL; several nieces and nephews; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Douglas Good.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen and no services have been scheduled at this time. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.

Kim worked at Jasper County Hospital for several years as a cook in the hospital's cafeteria.

In her spare time, Kim enjoyed playing cards, spending time relaxing at the casino, and watching football. She also could be found spending time in her car with a bag of chips, watching people pass by and enjoying their day.

Kim will best be remembered as a kind soul who adored being around others and had a positive outlook on life. If someone was having a bad day, she always managed to put a brighter spin on the situation, always mentioning that it could be worse and to simply keep moving forward. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Woodland Manor and Nurse Kelly for being there with Kim and providing excellent care and kindness to her and her family during her final days.
