IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keyon Giovonni
Davis-Washington
December 13, 2000 – October 20, 2022
Mr. Keyon Giovanni Davis-Washington, 21, of South Bend, was peacefully called home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Arbors at the Michigan City Healthcare Campus at 11:35 pm. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 13, 2000 to Nonnie B. (Washington) Davis of South Bend and the late Terrell Davis, who precedes Keyon in death. His stepfather, SSG Ronald F. Davis, US Army, survives in Birmingham, Alabama.
Also surviving Keyon are his sisters Nyesha (Kenneth) Childress, Iyeisha (Jaime) Hernandez, Takia Griffin, Ivory Griffin and De'jahne Washington, all of Elkhart; his grandmothers Jacqueline Lymas of Chicago, Illinois and Carmella McGee of South Bend. Also left to cherish Keyon's memory are a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services for Keyon will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. Prior to that, a brief public gathering of Keyon's family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 5 pm. Cremation will follow services.
Keyon was a beautiful and wonderful young man who was talented at many things. He was very close to his mother, Nonnie, and to his sisters as well, and always enjoyed doing things with them whenever he could. He was also very artistically talented, too, and he loved to draw and customize clothing and shoes.
Keyon was also a talented gamer, specializing in military-style special-ops video games, he loved to cruise around in the car with his family and friends (Keyon had already called permanent "shot-gun" for his road trips!) and was reputed to be a bit of a ladies' man. Others would say that Keyon loved to eat, and would do just about anything for a helping of mac and cheese, fish, pork chops, or (our favorite) chicken gizzards. His warm smile and even warmer heart endeared him to many, and Keyon's sense of love and compassion will be long remembered. Keyon loved you all!!
Friends and family wishing to give a memorial in Keyon's memory may do so by donating to his family in the name of Nonnie or to the cause of one's choice. Additionally, please be sure to thoroughly browse Keyon's obit page, as you are able to leave condolences and memories, post photographs on his memory wall, and order other funerary items in regard to the family.
