Kevin Lee Smith, 65, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Mishawaka, IN on June 3, 1959, to Charles William and Patricia Mae (Vanator) Smith.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Patricia Smith; siblings, Carlene, Linda, and Chuck Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Smith.

Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Kevin served proudly in the United States Air Force and was an over the road truck driver for many years. He often kept to himself, but he knew how to fix just about anything after tinkering with electronics for a bit; a talent he picked up after being in the Air Force. Kevin enjoyed being in his "man cave" where he would tinker around on stereo equipment that he picked up at local flee markets that he frequented. He would often do this while he sang along with his favorite rock tunes from the 70's and 80's. In his spare time, he also enjoyed riding his Harley, learning to play the guitar (despite being left-handed), and singing karaoke at family get-togethers and parties. Kevin will be dearly missed by his loving family.
