Obituary
ELKHART — Kenneth W. "Kenny" Weldy, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1937, in Wakarusa, to Donald Sr. and Evelyn (Wise) Weldy.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Crouse) Weldy of Elkhart; one son, David Weldy of Elkhart; one brother, Donald Jr. (Jackie) Weldy of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Brittany (Jeremy) Stainko of Michigan City and Paige Weldy of Elkhart; and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Pippa Stainko of Michigan City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenny proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later worked as a buffer with E.K. Blessing Co. and Pan Industries Inc. for several years.
He enjoyed spending time fishing and was an avid race car fan.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public service. Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
