Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or the local DAV Post #19, 1205 Middleton Run Rd, Elkhart, IN 46516.
Ken was a very patriotic and God-fearing man who proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war from 1971 to 1972 and reenlisted back into the Army from 1975 to 1981. Later on in life, he worked for Tyco as a Service Manager from which he would retire. On August 14, 2010, Ken married the love of his life, Pam Skierkowski, of whom he was able to spend 11 wonderful years alongside.
Ken was a very outgoing, loving, and kind man. He was always willing to help those in need and was known for having a way with words, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Ken-isms". Ken had never met a stranger and loved to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He enjoyed being around animals and children and his grandchildren meant the world to him. In his free time, he enjoyed being out by the lake, fishing, and riding his Harley motorcycle with his brother, Gene, by his side. Ken loved adventures, especially when some of those adventures would lead him to a peaceful campsite where he could sit by the fire and chat with whoever happened to pass by. He will also be remembered for the many family get-togethers he was able to be a part of and if you ever met Ken, you know you had met a friend for life. Ken will not only be dearly missed by his loving family but by all the people he left a positive impact on.
