Kenneth "Ken" A. Ronske, 88, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in Elkhart. Ken was born on October 28, 1933, in Elmhurst, IL to the late Frank and Wanda (Asche) Ronske.

Ken is survived by his children, Cal Ronske, Steve (Hope) Ronske, and Lisa Ippolito; grandchildren, Jim, Nicole, Aric, Leah, Stephanie, Peyton, and Derek; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Smith. Ken is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Charlotte M. (Kodanko) Ronske; brother, Warren Ronske; and sister, Elaine Leston.

In accordance with Ken's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart with a burial to take place at a later date in Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to Traditions Health Hospice, 3555 Park Pl W Suite 100, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

Ken and Charlotte owned and operated Turnpike Motel in Elkhart for 18 years and were members of the Elkhart Motel Owners Association. In earlier years he enjoyed camping vacations with his family all over the U.S. and Canada. Ken allowed each of his grandchildren to pick a vacation for their 'senior trip' and would always be called to make a special trip to Dairy Queen.

In later years, Ken and Charlotte vacationed extensively visiting 49 of the 50 states and enjoyed traveling around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Ken was a family man, devoted husband, great father, and amazing grandfather. He made sure to always have fun and keep up a good sense of humor. Ken will be dearly missed by those whose hearts he touched in life.
