NORTH LAS VEGAS — Kelley Marie Blakemore, 35, of North Las Vegas and formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away in her home at 9:10 p.m. Dec. 21.
She was born Feb. 13, 1979, in Flint, Mich., to the late John Blakemore and Jennifer "Jenny" Moosekian-Blakemore, who survives her in Elkhart.
Also surviving are her brothers, Jamison A. Blakemore of Elkhart and Jesse L. (Kerry) Blakemore of Columbus, Ohio; sister Summer E. Blakemore of Elkhart; stepbrother Tim (Tisha) Moosekian of Romulus, Mich.; stepsister Amy (Mark) Byars of Flatrock, Mich.; five nieces; four nephews; and her two beloved dogs, Polly and Snowball.
A celebration of Kelley's life will take place Friday, Jan. 9, from 4-6:00 p.m. with service at 6:00 P.M.at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate the services. In accordance with the family's wishes, Kelley was cremated in Nevada.
Kelley was a loving and accepting person who made friends easily and lit up any room she entered. She was an accomplished singer and avid animal lover. She enjoyed snowboarding whenever she could. She will be best remembered for the way she touched the life of nearly every person she met. Kelley was a licensed beautician and worked for Federal Express in Phoenix in the time leading up to her passing.
