ELKHART — Kathleen A. "Kathy" Hilger, 48, of Elkhart, went peacefully to be with the Lord at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, July 18, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born March 11, 1967, in Aurora, Ill., to Maxine (Schiavi) Hilger.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Hilger of Mishawaka and Kevin Hilger of Elkhart; two daughters, Kelli Hilger and Kristi Hilger, both of Elkhart; two sisters, Sandy Tipsworth of Aurora and Karen (Robert) Keller of Newton, Ill.; five brothers, Robert Butler of Newton, Larry Butler of San Bruno, Calif., and Thomas (Stacey) Bailey, Charles Stephenson and Michael Stephenson, all of Elkhart; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother.
She worked for many years in the RV industry and was most recently employed at Nautic Global Group. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and was affectionately referred to as "NaNa." Kathy loved animals and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, and for an hour prior to the noon Friday, July 24, funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Ray Caudill will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol.
