Kathleen Ann Kulp, 73, of Goshen, passed away from an extended illness on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at home.

Kathy was born on November 27, 1951 in Mishawaka, IN to Henry Orsund and Betty Jane (Kindy) Orsund. She married Dennis A. Kulp on March 28, 2006 in Elkhart.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Betty Jane.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 19 years, Dennis Kulp of Goshen; son, Adam Burtsfield; daughter, Jessica Caskey; stepsons, Scott (Denise) Kulp and Brent (Corie) Kulp; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kaylynn Gillespie; and her beloved dog, Snickers.

She was a teacher in the Elkhart Community Schools for many years.  She retired from her teaching career at Woodland Elementary in Elkhart, IN.  Kathy had a great passion for kids and loved to see them grow in the classroom. She was a very dedicated educator, helping the underprivileged youth.

Kathy and Dennis attended Grace Community Church in Goshen, IN.

Kathy and Dennis lived in Mission, Texas for 8 years before returning to Goshen, IN.

She had several hobbies.  She enjoyed reading and playing the piano.  She also liked attending sporting events to support her husband Dennis while coaching High School softball.

Kathy and Dennis enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling around the United States and Mexico.

She had a positive disposition and had a smile that would light up the room. Kathy has a great sense of humor up until the very end.

The family would like to thank Goshen Homecare and Hospice for their love and support during a difficult time. They went above and beyond the families' expectations.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date . Per the family's request, Kathy will be cremated.
