BRISTOL -- Karsyn Joann Bell, 4, of Bristol, died at 8:12 p.m. Friday (Jan. 23, 2009) at Memorial Hospital in South Bend after a battle with cancer.
She was born April 27, 2004, in Elkhart to Brad Bruce and Anne Marie (McLane) Bell.
Karsyn is survived by her parents; a sister, Kamryn Bell; grandparents John (Joann) McLane of Mishawaka, Joann Bell of Mishawaka and Paul Bell of Lockwood, Mo.; as well as a great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by several great-grandparents.
Karsyn attended St. Mary's Sunday school, was a member of the Bristol Public Library story hour and the "Beyond Baby" play group sponsored by CAPS. She also attended the Debbie Werbrouck's ballet school and had participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Bristol, with a rosary service concluding the service. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Van Kempen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol. Visitors are asked to dress in pink or purple for all services in Karsyn's memory.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is handling arrangements.
