ELKHART — Karol Lucille Shreve, 97, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart.

She was born May 30, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Merle and Lillian (Pope) Dunlap.

Karol worked for Miles Laboratories for 24 years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Reading was her passion.

She also enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She loved to spend time at her family's lake cottage, especially when it was full of family.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Beth) Shreve; grandson Ryan (Kathy) Shreve; great-grandsons Andrew and Elliott Shreve; brother Fred Dunlap; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rex Shreve; son George Shreve; and five brothers and sisters.

A private family memorial for Karol will be held at a later date.
