Obituary

Karin Ann Booth, 56, of Elkhart, was born on December 8, 1968, in Dearborn, Michigan, and passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Karin was a kind, selfless, and loving mother who made her children her whole world. She poured her heart into raising them, and being their mom was the greatest joy of her life.

Deaf all her life, Karin was deeply involved in her community, participating in Deaf clubs, bowling leagues, and served as president of a Deaf dart club for a time. She was known for hosting unforgettable Halloween parties and for her generosity and guidance, supporting friends through health challenges and caring for dozens of children as if they were her own.

A naturally gifted artist, Karin loved holiday crafts, diamond bead art, and puzzles. Her collections included Coca-Cola memorabilia, Looney Tunes, rubber duckies, Volkswagens, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 90's oddities, and she adored anything tie-dye, peace signs, smiley faces, or ladybugs. Ladybugs now serve as comforting reminders of her presence. One of her favorite memories was cooking for her grandchildren and always bringing gifts for every child in the room.

She is survived by her children Glenn (Kathleen) Williams, Shaz (Madeline) Booth, and Megan Booth; grandchildren Melodie, Makayla, Mason, Makinlee, Azalea, Octavia, and Lake; siblings Eddie Mullins, Sherlyn Meherg, Kelly Rodtsbrooks, Kerry Delikta, Tammy Delikta, and April Delikta; and her mother, Katherine Ehmler. Along with her father, James Delikta, she is preceded in death by her baby brother, Paul Jr. Ehmler.

Cremation has taken place through Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Booth family to help with funeral expenses.

Karin was a giver, a survivor, an artist, and the life of the party. She will be deeply missed by her family, her community, and all those whose lives she touched with her strength, humor, and generosity.
