Karen L. Delaney, 65, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home Thursday, December 6, 2018. She was born on January 20, 1953, in Detroit, MI to the late Robert and Shirley (Reed) Humburg.

She married Gerald L. "Jerry" Delaney in Dowagiac, MI on December 4, 1994, who preceded her in death on November 6, 2011 in Elkhart. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Mark Delaney; step son, David Cole; and former spouse, Gerald Cole.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Dawn M. Cole (Dave Westfall) and Rebecca L. (Kurt) Reed, three sons, Michael L. Delaney, Shawn (Andrea) Cole, and Shannon (Tracey) Cole; a step daughter, Faith Cole; three step sons, Daniel Cole, Paul Cole, and Joseph Warren; brother-in-law, Eric (Karen) Delaney; and 12 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She was an avid purse collector, loved animals, enjoyed playing games and coloring on her phone, and had a knack for gardening. She especially loved planting roses in her garden.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart.
