She was born Nov. 4, 1989, in Elkhart to Mark D. and Kathryn "Kit" (Couch) Elliott.

They survive along with one sister, Stacey Jo Elliott, at home; paternal grandparents Curtis D. and Claudeen E. Elliott of Elkhart; maternal grandparents Hubert and Linda L. Couch of Elkhart; maternal great-grandmothers Edythe K. Billet and Laura Couch, both of Elkhart; and special friend Dustin Phillips.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Fellowship Hall of St. John's United Church of Christ, 2701 E. Bristol St., Elkhart, as well as one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Wednesday funeral at the church. Pastors David Sicklekla and Helen Nusbaum will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen. A celebration of Kacey's life will take place at Signature Lanes bowling alley in Elkhart following the funeral. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Kacey enjoyed her life to the fullest. Shopping, spending time with her friends and talking on her cell phone were favorite pastimes that were second only to softball and bowling. She would have been a senior at Elkhart Central High School this fall, where she would have graduated with honors. She was a member of the girls softball team, bowling team and honor society. She had been involved with softball and bowling since she was 5 years old and with the Young Americans Bowlers Association. She was employed at Signature Lanes in Elkhart. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she was active in the youth program.
