ELKHART -- June O. Roberts, 61, of Elkhart, died at 10 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 29, 2009) in her home from Lou Gehrig's Disease.

She was born July 23, 1948, in Royal Blue, Tenn., to Joseph Eddie and Lillie Mae (Lawson) Bonham. On June 3, 1967, she married Clyde T. Roberts in Jamestown, Tenn.

He survives with two sons, Jonathan R. Roberts of Elkhart and Thomas J. Roberts of South Bend; one daughter, Angela S. (Mark) Ragland of Elkhart; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Bonham of Springfield, Mo., and Virgil (Jenny) Bonham of Goshen; and three sisters, Virginia (Duane) Shomber of Orange Beach, Ala., Judy Fritz of Greenville, Ohio, and Nancy (Dave) Smith of Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy L. Bonham.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of New Life Christian Center. She was an avid walker who enjoyed helping others and spending time with friends and family.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Christian Church, 15685 S.R. 120, Bristol. Pastor Dwight Gosser will officiate. Burial will be in Frame Cemetery.
