Mrs. Julia P. "Pat" Collins, 90, of Elkhart, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 12:18 pm, following an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1930 in Green Point, NY to the late John and Julia (Laska) Condon, and is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Collins, Sr.

Surviving are her children Donald (Joyce) Collins of Long Island, NY, Julie (Alan) Dicker of Long Island, Anthony (Elaine) Collins of Tennessee, Joyce (Ernest) Chancellor of Elkhart and Joe (Jennifer) Collins of Long Island; brothers Jimmy (Sue) Condon of North Carolina and Richie (Lila) Condon of New Jersey; grandchildren Stephanie and Tiffany Collins, Matthew and Benjamin Cobb, Mario DeLucia, Anthony and Sean Collins, Samantha Collins, Callie Jackowski, Lucia, J.J. and Danny Berrios and Rainey, Buster and Buddy Chancellor and great grands Melody, Harper, Arya, Alicia, Analisa and Jayden, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Along with her husband, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Collins, son William A. Collins, Jr., brother Johnny Condon and sisters Margaret Divorak and JoAnn Harris.

In accordance with Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 16 Browns Lane, Belllport, NY on Wednesday, November 18 2020 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Medford Avenue in Coram Township at 12:00 noon. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services have been honored to assist with the Indiana arrangements.

Pat worked many years as a florist and floral designer but was the type of person that wasn't afraid of hard work either, as she also spent several years on the assembly line at a rubber production facility. A devout Christian lady, Pat grew up in the catholic church in Brooklyn and went on to become a dedicated mother, wife and caregiver of six children.

Pat wasn't one to settle for sitting idle. When she wasn't working or spending time with her family, she could be found making her rounds at the local casinos, eating out with her family and friends, catching up on the latest Hollywood and world gossip in the National Enquirer or Globe Magazine or visiting areas with large bodies of water so she could watch the boats come and go. She was also a die-hard game show fanatic and would simply be lost without her TV and her remote in hand. In fact, she is probably in Heaven right now talking Alex Trebek's ear off.

Loving and full of the spirit of giving, Pat enjoyed having the ability to make philanthropic donations to such organizations such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital, various churches and organizations for the needy, and to certain Native American organizations. (not including her regular donations to the Pokagon tribe via Four Winds Casino!)

Donations may be given in Pat's memory to the charity of one's choice. Thank you for your interest in Pat's life story.
