Ms. Judyne E. "Judy" Osborn, 66, of Elkhart, passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home following some health issues on Monday, Mar. 2, 2020 at 3:01 pm.  She was born May 21, 1953 in Bremen to the late Mark D. Thornton and Betty (Miller) Thornton, who survives her.

Also surviving is her devoted partner Rick Phillips; children Wanda (Trent) Weaver, Lamar Helmuth and Brenda (Joe) Solis; brothers Darrell (Nanci) Thornton, Dale Thornton and Danny (Ruth) Thornton; sister Jill (Partner - Jeannie ) Holmes; grandchildren Ryan Weaver, Cory and Lea Helmuth, Anthony Solis, Amanda (Aaron) Fornal and Joey (Yoseline), Joshua and Cassie Solis, and great grandchildren Talyn and Haven Fornal and Coral Solis.  Also surviving are Rick's children Bryan Phillips, Chrissy (Rob) Sutton and Ryne Phillips, as well as grandchildren Michael, Nick, Parker and Macayla Sutton.

A memorial celebration of Judy's life will be held at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart on Saturday, March 14, from 11 am – 1 pm. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Judy was a dedicated, loving and committed mother.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and always put her family first.  She will always be remembered for her kind, caring, independent personality, and having a strong desire to help others whenever she could.  Our loving Partner in life, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Friend will be greatly missed.
