Obituary

ELKHART — Judy Ann Holaway, 55, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday morning, May 21, 2011, at her home.

Judy was born March 3, 1956, in Elkhart, to Joseph Charles and Verna (Tavernier) Huffman. On March 12, 1983, in Elkhart, she became the bride of Ralph Holaway. They recently celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph; daughter Carrie Holland and husband Randall; grandchildren Natalee and Charlie Holland; parents Joseph and Verna Huffman; sister Marilyn Schoen and husband Mike; and brothers Joseph Huffman and wife Connie, all of Elkhart, and Mark Huffman of Washington, D.C.

Judy was a 26-year survivor of multiple sclerosis but never let that hinder her positive spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and spoiling her two grandchildren. She was a 1974 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School and enjoyed buying and selling antiques.

Please join with her family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Friends also may call for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Thursday funeral service at Billings. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate, with burial to follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or The Center for Hospice Care. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
