ELKHART — Judith Ann Heinl, 77, of Elkhart and formerly of Homewood, Ill., passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Golden Living Center. Judith was born on March 22, 1940 in East Brady, Penn.,  to the late John Robert and Mabel (Hawk) Muir. Surviving is a sister Pamela S. (Richard) Zinsmeister of Elkhart; 2 nephews, Jeffrey of North Port, Fla., John of Park Forest, Ill., 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew and 7 great great nieces and nephews. Judith worked as a secretary for 15 years and retired from South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill. She then relocated to Elkhart.  Judith was a 1958 graduate of Toledo (Ohio) High School. Judith formerly lived in Miami, Fla. and had worked for Florida Light & Power.  She was a 35 year member of AA, and was an avid animal lover. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorials in Judith's name may be given to a local animal shelter or any hospice facility.  Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
