Judith "Judy" C. Moyer, 79, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Courtyard Healthcare Center. She was born in Elkhart on March 1, 1942 to the late Louis A. and Florence L. (Penkul) Leers.

Judy is survived by her son, Jeffrey "Jeff" Moyer of Niles; daughters, Michele Moyer of Las Vegas and Cheryl Moyer of Elkhart; sister, Joan Babcock of British Columbia; brothers, Richard Leers of Merrillville, IN and Norman (Kay) Leers of Crystal Lake, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Leers; sister-in-law, Marilyn Leers; and brother-in-law, John Babcock.

In accordance with Judy's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. Vincent De Paul's Cemetery.

Judy was a long-time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was very active in the church. She was a member of the Rosary Society at the church and Red Hat Society. Judy was a very independent woman who never knew a stranger. She was a very giving person who would do anything to help those in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing card games, especially rummy, and loved to visit with her friends often. Judy will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.
