She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Mishawaka to Omer and Goldie (McKesson) McIntire. On Dec. 28, 1982, in Elkhart, she married Wilbur E. Adams Sr. He died Aug. 9, 2000, in Mishawaka.
She is survived by four sons, Chris and Dan Luke, both of Mishawaka, Scott (Kellie) Parks of Elkhart and T J Adams of Mishawaka; one daughter, Wanda (Randy) Dick of South Bend; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Terry (Pawn) McIntire of Wheatland, Calif., and Danny (Norma) McIntire of Mishawaka; and six sisters, Wanda (Bob) Butler of Nettleton, Miss., Brenda Smith and Betty (Marvin) Pletcher, both of Mishawaka, Wilma (Floyd) Bricker of Beardstown, Ill., Barb Martin of Floral, Ark., and Phyllis Dunaway of Sandyhook, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Sonny and Don McIntire.
Friends may call two hours prior to the 1 p.m. Wednesday funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Kevin Brintnall of the Evangelical Covenant Church of South Bend will officiate. Burial with graveside services will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and "Mom" to all the neighbor kids. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family.
