ELKHART — Juana Gonzalez, 83, of Elkhart, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Arcos De Canasi, Cuba, to Pablo Roberto Gonzalez and Pura (Concepcion) Perez. Surviving are her daughters, Anna Olivella of Cuba, Andrea Bretana of Elkhart and Emma Anuvis Olivella of Cuba. Also surviving are six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother; Alberto Gonzales of Cuba; and sisters Otilia Perez of Florida and Teresa Gonzalez of Cuba.
Juana was a homemaker and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be missed. At her request, cremation has taken place at Altera Cremation Service under the direction of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Burial will take place at a later date in her home country of Cuba.
