ELKHART — Joyce A. "Tiny" Wilson, 53, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at her Elkhart home after an extended illness with her family at her side.
She was born in Dec. 26, 1958, in Blythesville, Ark., to John and Rosie (Williams) Wilson, who survive her.
Also left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Evon Henderson; seven sisters, Mary (Joe Henderson), Lisa (Sylvester Grant) and Eileen Wilson, Margaret (Henry) Johnson, Rose Walker, Dorothy Thompson and Lee Vernado; brothers Joe and Norman Wilson; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. All are from Elkhart.
Preceding her in death was a son, Steve Wilson.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the noon funeral at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 802 W. Garfield Ave., Elkhart, on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. Pastor Sam Frison will officiate, and cremation will follow services. Billings Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Joyce was a CNA at the Elkhart Rehabilitation Center for over 12 years and was a member of Pilgrim Rest. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
ELKHART — Burial for Joyce A. "Tiny" Wilson, 53, who passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at her Elkhart home and whose body was cremated, will be at 2:15 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home has been assisting the family with arrangements.
