Joyce A. Strintz, of Wakarusa, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born on January 11, 1928 to the late Austin L. and Edna O. (Fischer) Kiefer.

Joyce is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Strintz; brother, Ed Kiefer; and sisters, Elaine Essig, Phyllis Crosby, and Pat Hamilton. She is survived by her children, Richard "Rick" W. Laughlin of Elkhart, Christopher "Chris" A. (Shelly) Laughlin of Elkhart, Michael "Mike" J. Laughlin of Bristol, Cindy Spears of Yorktown, IN, and Cheryl (Jan) Thompson of Pearisburg, VA; sister, Betty Pletcher of Elkhart; brothers, Robert Kiefer and Joe (Becky) Kiefer both of Elkhart. The family would like to say a special thank you to her niece, Sandra Walker, and Lutie Davis for being her caregiver for so many years.

In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W Vistula St, Bristol, IN 46507 with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private graveside service will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol. Memorial donations may be given to St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Joyce worked as a general manager for 24 years at UAW before she retired in 1992. She also worked for many years at United Labor Agency and was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Joyce enjoyed doing yard work or curling with her friend Bill Irwin. She will be missed by her loving family.
