ELKHART — Joyce Ann Harness, 77, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Greenleaf Health Campus.
She was born March 31, 1935, in Peru to the late James L. and Alice (Anderson) Harness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Harness Jr.; sister Roberta Harness Vogel; sister-in-law Joan Harness; and a niece, Jennifer Harness Gravitt.
Surviving are a brother, Robert M. "Bob" Harness and his wife, Jeri, of Montgomery, Texas, as well as three nieces and three nephews.
Joyce formerly worked for C.G. Conn and retired from Miles Laboratories.
She formerly attended Grace Brethren Church and enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and doing crossword puzzles.
Visitation will be private. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Rice Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Sheets will officiate.
