Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart are honored to be hosting a private Memorial Homegoing Celebration for Joyce with her immediate family. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
After graduating high school, she worked a few jobs but eventually settled into being a superb homemaker, loving mom and faithful wife, as a happy family was her number one priority. She loved being "involved" and tried to make it to every one of her daughters' softball games as they were growing up. It was easy to see that she was their biggest fan. She was also an avid reader, loved to do puzzle books and cross stitch and feed all of the backyard animals -- anything from songbirds to squirrels to deer who got so used to being fed that they would wander up to the house and look in the back door to see where Joyce was. Everyone would be fed in the mornings, and the animals would start waiting around and accumulating early on so they could be sure to get some treats.
Friends and family may leave memorial donations to the Humane Society of Elkhart Country; also, condolences and pictures can be left on Joyce's obit page on the Billings Funeral Home website. Thank you for your interest in her life story!
