Joshua worked in the nursery industry doing landscaping, hardscaping and irrigation. He completed high school at Elkhart Christian Academy in 2011 and later attended Bethel University and Indiana University South Bend from 2011 to 2014. Joshua and April Reed were married on July 23, 2016. Through his school years, Joshua earned a number of awards in competitive swimming. He also received a number of awards for his excellent performance playing his violin at classical music recitals. He was a gifted young man even academically. One of the delights of Joshua was spending time with his little brother (by 5 years). Even when they were young and on through this summer, he enjoyed fishing with Johannes. Joshua was a jovial, outgoing friend to many. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
His parents, Fikre & Ritva Menbere and his younger brother, Johannes Menbere sincerely thank you for the comfort and encouragement they have been receiving from all of you. Our hope and faith rest on the assurance the Lord Jesus Christ gave to Martha as he said in the Gospel of John 11:25, 26 "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
