ELKHART — Josephine Catherine "Jo" Milstone, 86, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 4, 1925, in New Britain, Conn., to James and Helen (Kennel) Bordirie. She married John Milstone on Oct. 23, 1952, in New Britain. He passed away Oct. 27, 1994, in Florida.

Surviving are a daughter, Bev (Joe) Migliore of Barrington, R.I.; sons Mark (Ellen) Milstone of Phoenix, Ariz., Jeff Milstone and Jim (Nancy) Milstone of Elkhart. Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, brother Johnny Bordirie and sisters Gladie Sylvia and Shirley Sansone survive, as well.

Four siblings have preceded her in death.

Jo worked for many years as a nurse and secretary in a blood/plasma center and also did home care nursing. A devoted and lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was also active in parishes while living in Wisconsin and Florida.

Please join with her family to celebrate her life with a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main St., Elkhart. The Rev. Bill Sullivan will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Jo's wishes are to be cremated.

Memorials may be given to Elkhart County Right To Life, 3414 C.R. 6 East, Elkhart, IN 46514. Billings Funeral Home is assisting Jo's family with arrangements.
