WAKARUSA — Joseph F. "Joe" Mulcahey III, 50, of Wakarusa, was found passed away at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, in his home, following an extended illness.

Joe was born in Elkhart on April 23, 1965, to the late Joseph and Sharon (Sexton) Mulcahey Heckaman.

Surviving are his daughters, Amber (Ben) Howdeshell and Michele (Matt) Mulcahey; son Joe Mulcahey IV; brothers John P. Mulcahey Sr. and John (Sandra) Van De Mark; sisters Laurie (Tim) Underwood and Mary Mulcahey; grandson Drew Anderson; and his former spouse of 20 years, Teresa Mulcahey.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jeffry Heckaman, and his brother, Matt Mulcahey.

In accordance with his wishes, Joe is to be cremated. A memorial service will take place at a later time.

Billings Funeral Home has been assisting the family with arrangements.

Joe worked as a supervisor at NIBCO in Elkhart for over 12 years. He also worked in the RV industry at Royale Coach.

An avid nature lover and outdoorsman, he loved to fish, barbecue, garden and spend time in his yard feeding birds.
