Jose Antonio Martinez, 63, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 12, 1957 in Capilla De Guadalupe, Mexico to the late Magdaleno Martinez and Maria Delaluz-Alcala-Martinez.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Martinez; sons, Antonio (Danielle) Martinez, Alejandro (Sydney) Martinez, and Ivan (Yahaira Jaimes) Martinez; grandchildren, Milo, Oliver, Liam, Basil, Ivan II, Maddox, Kylee; brothers, Miguel (Celia) Martinez, Rafael (Lucy) Martinez, Justino (Silvia) Martinez, and Juvenal (Estolia) Martinez; and sister, Maria Magdelena. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maria Engracia Gomez.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to take place at 6:30 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516 with an hour of visitation prior from 12-1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow services to St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Elkhart. Please follow proper social distancing procedures and please bring a face mask to wear during services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Jose was a strong worker and was dedicated to taking care of his family. He worked as a machine operator for many years and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and golfing. Jose loved to tend to his garden often and enjoyed landscaping his yard. His family meant the world to him and he enjoyed being a wonderful and loving grandfather to his grandchildren, who looked up to him as a role model. Jose spent a lot of time with his brothers every chance he got and loved his wife, Ramona, endlessly. He will be missed greatly by his loving family.
