Jordan Luis Ortiz, 27, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital. Jordan was born on May 27, 1994 in Elkhart to Jorge Luis Ortiz Jr. and Jacqueline Rolon. Surviving are his parents, Jacqueline Rolon of Puerto Rico, father Jorge Luis Ortiz Jr. of Michigan City, IN.; grandmother Loida Gonzalez; and  maternal grandparents Francisco and Milagros Rolon; his former wife, Stephanie Wilson and mother to his three beautiful children, who he adored; Aiden Ortiz (7), Halo Wilson (9) Adeline Ortiz (5); four brothers, Micheal Santini, twin Xavier L. (Diana) Ortiz, Deangelo Ortiz and Morris Ortiz; two sisters Isabel Ortiz and Breann Ortiz; 2 aunts, 2 uncles and several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jorge Ortiz Sr

Jordan was a 2012 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School, and also attended the career center. He had been working in the RV industry for many years, most recently as a group leader at Jayco.

Jordan proudly served in the U.S Army and the Army National Guard. He loved music and played the guitar. He was an avid sports fan, with the New York Yankees and NY Giants his favorite teams. Jordon was just a good hearted man; he would give you the shirt off his back and always helped those in need. His smile would light up any room he entered. But, most importantly to him, was his love for his children.

Services celebrating the life of Jordan Ortiz will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. with military honors by the United States Army and DAV Chapter #19. A service will follow officiated by Pastor Jorge Maldonaldo. Friends may visit with the family from 2 until service time and also from 5-7 p.m. after the service.
