He was born Dec. 11, 1949, in Catron, Mo., to Johnnie Lee and Louise (Jacobs) Crenshaw Sr.
He is survived by two sons, Quentin Spencer of Nappanee and Germaine (Tiffany) Spencer of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; four sisters, Carolyn (King) Dancler, Patricia (Warren) House and Loretta (Thomas) Johnson, all of Elkhart, and Bobbie (DeKater) Suggs of Vallejo, Calif.; one brother, Rayford (Janet) Crenshaw II of Carmel; and his father, Johnnie Lee (Clarreather) Crenshaw Sr. of Cassopolis, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant sister, Felicia Crenshaw.
Friends may call one hour prior to today's noon service at Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W. Wolf Ave. The Rev. Dannell Brown will officiate. Burial with military honors by DAV Chapter 19 and an Army burial honors unit will follow in the veterans section of Prairie Street Cemetery. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crenshaw was a brick mason for more than 30 years, working out of Local 18 in South Bend. He was a 1969 graduate of Jimtown High School who enjoyed barbecuing and the company of his friends and family. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
