Johnathon's life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Community Missionary Baptist Church, 228 Chapman Avenue, Elkhart at 12:00 noon, with a visitation beginning there at 11:00 am. Pastor Vernard Malone, Sr. and Superintendent W. C. Hackworth, Sr. will officiate the service and, in accordance with Johnathon's wishes, cremation will then take place. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps Funeral Honor Guard and the Elkhart Marine Corps League Detachment at the church immediately following the religious rites.

As a youth, Johnathon was very active in church. He was an active participant in Sunshine Band and Purity at all levels (local, district, jurisdictional, and national). Johnathon accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior while attending a Jurisdictional Purity Revival.

Johnathon graduated in 2012 from NorthWood High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September 2012. Johnathon was proud to be a Marine. While enlisted, Johnathon became a Corporal and earned several service awards including: National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Medal. Corporal Robinson received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps on June 27th, 2020.

Johnathon enjoyed spending time with his son, Jr., family, eating (he looked forward to Big Ma's giblet gravy), country music, and offering advice-solicited or unsolicited. Johnathon was a unique individual. He was complex, yet relatable; opinionated-yet open. Johnathon will be truly missed by all who knew and genuinely loved him.
